Wave Hanger
Wave Hanger creates an acoustically isolated ceiling with a low-profile, one-of-a-kind design. The Wave Hanger functions as a “leaf spring,” offering 1/2″ deflection when loaded with two layers of drywall.
Test data shows the Wave Hanger outperforms resilient channel, particularly at reducing low-frequency “thuds.”
Additionally, Wave Hanger can be used in 1-hour fire-rated assemblies for most common wood construction per ICC ESR-3207.
Wave Hangers are intended for use on flat ceilings with two layers of drywall only and are not intended for use with soffits, bulkheads, elevation changes,supported equipment, or heavy finishes. If any of these situations apply to your project, please contact Acousthetics for assistance.
