Modex
Modex is a series of low-frequency membrane sound absorbers designed to fine-tune modal distribution small rooms such as recording studios, music practice rooms, or critical listening environments.
Edge: The Modex Edges are dedicated, broadband low-frequency sound absorbers designed to balance the modal distribution of small rooms down to 20Hz. The damped chamber system is able to offer bass control over several octaves while not contributing to mid- or high-frequency absorption. Size: 33-13/16″ W x 6-13/16″ – 34-5/8″ D x 96″ H max.
Corner: Designed to sit into a corner, the tuning frequencies available for Modex Corners are 40, 63, and 80Hz. The units are designed to cover approximately 1/3 octave above and below the tuning frequency. Size: 23-5/8″ x 23-5/8″ x 12-1/4″
Module: Smaller units with tuning frequencies available at 40, 50, 63, 80, 100, and 125Hz. The units are designed to cover about 1/3 octave above and below the tuning frequency. Size: 23-5/8″ x 23-5/8″ x 5-7″
LF: Designed to target the mid and upper bass frequencies, efficiently attenuating frequencies in the octave between 80 and 160Hz, considered the mid-range of the bass frequency range. This frequency range is often responsible for the bass buildup that we are most sensitive to in mid-size auditoriums and band rooms, reducing musical clarity and intelligibility. Size: 84″ x 42″ x 5-1/8″ or custom dimensions.
Plate: Dedicated, broadband, low-frequency sound absorbers in the range of 30Hz–500Hz. The damped plate mechanism is able to offer bass control over several octaves while not contributing to mid- or high-frequency absorption. Size: 49-1/4″ x 33-1/4″ x 6″
