Modffractal
Modffractal is a full spectrum 1-dimensional sound diffusor. The design is a diffuser within a deiffuser – expanding upon the Modffusor design (an asymmetric, phase optimized diffuser) by incorporpating smaller nested, similar scaled diffusers, each of which is designed to cover a specific frequency range. The Modffractal can be further customized to extend into lower frequencies by either perforating the wells to add low frequency absorption, or by nesting the unit into a larger cabinet that is a larger scale version of the unit. This unique and patented acoustical design offers the broadest spectrum of sound diffusion available and supports the movement in architectural acoustics toward aperiodic array optimization of asymmetric units.
Modffractal comes in a wide variety of finishes, including wood veneers, laminates, melamine coatings and painted surfaces. Wooden cleats are provided for easy mounting direct to walls and ceilings, or it can be laid into a T-bar grid.
